Have you ever questioned what you believe in currently? Did this experience make you do more research on your religion, or did you just ignore your questions and stay the course? Did you ever believe in something different than you do now? what made you change your mind?

I think everyone questions at sometime in their life what they believe in. I am a Christian, and I know I did. I wondered if there was a God, and by looking at nature, as the Bible says, this is alll the evidence needed to show that there is a creater. I also searched to find who Jesus was, and the Son of God is the only option that made sense.

I was raised in a fundamentalist Christian home, was "born again" and believed very conservative views into my 20s. Experiencing more of life gradually made me into a liberal person politically, and my religious views became more liberal, too. To make a long story short, I no longer practice a religion. I practice the philosophy known to some as Kashmir Shaivism, to some as Tibetan Buddhism and to others as Tantra (it is a philosophy, not a new age sexuality seminar!) I still believe in many of the things I learned in my upbringing, including many of the teachings of the being we now call Jesus, but feel that my relationship to the Divine is very different now than it was then. I don't believe there is only one way to "salvation" anymore. I don't approve of "bashing" anyone for their beliefs, even if I disagree with them strongly.

I've always believed generally what I believe now. Of course, I learn more as time goes by.

This reason I currently believe what I believe, not what others tell me to, in writing or speech, is because I had to keep asking questions in regards to all religions that currently exist.

I grew up with no religion, turned to new age for about 10 years and for the last 10 years have been a "born again" non-denominational Christian. I had a million unanswered questions and now only have about 10...lol The book "Signature of God" by Grant R. Jeffrey answered alot of my scientific minded questions.

I'm a Christian, nondenominational, and I have questioned it several times. It did make me research more. But I still believe what I believe. But I think that people who just accpet what they're taught without thought to what could be are silly and foolish. You need to question what you think you know, and learn, or it's not worth having a religion in my opinion.

Actually, there's not much research to do, because Deism isn't a religion. It's a philosophy. If I thought it was BS, I wouldn't believe this way. I came to my belief on my own through a lifetime of searching and this is where I have progressed to for now.

a question was asked about the Rcc, i answered and then researched as i wasn't 100% positive. ended up i was off base. i went back and edited my asnwer - leaving in the incorrect asnwer and adding what was factual.

on some questions i know my feelings on the subject but knew more that i had to be able to cite references & scriptures for the asnwers to be credible. in that vein i do more research and learn the details myself at the same time -- it's great!!!

I actually was a follower of "new age thought" for years. I became a born-again christian 2 years ago, and could not be happier. I can actually find concrete answers to my questions in the Bible.

Good question!

i studied world religions in school, so i always check for historical facts to verify what various religious organizations teach, my faith becomes stronger and more refined the more i learn. if any faith if someone quits learning the in fact are making their faith and believes dead. the bible says faith without works is dead i work at my faith as i do my job. as a believer in god and Christ i feel its important to continue learning all i can, thus getting a deeper and richer understanding
