I was just wondering how many others that were out there who spoiled their pets rotten. We have 2 dogs and they totally don't think they are animals. They are always indoors, sleep on the beds with my kids, and eat real people too ( thanks to my baby. ) Was just curious...I know we aren't the only ones who do this.

My dogs have a very easy life, but they still know they are dogs, and that I'm the boss. They all sleep inside, some on the couch, others in our bed. They get the occasional people food treat, but normally I make them homemade dog treats.

My 2 dogs and 2 birds are part of the family. My dogs have coats and sweaters. We even bought them Halloween costumes. They are inside dogs and do what they want. Spoiled rotten by my parents as well. Now our birds stay in their cages for the most part but every time we go somewhere we buy them a toy or special treat. Some goes for the dogs. If we go out and don't bring back a treat for all of the animals in the house we get the silent treatment from the birds and our dogs will pout.

Our pets are the 4 legged children in our home! We stay clear of the people food these days as weight is a problem for 2 of our 3 dogs. But we love them so much and spoil them worse than the 2 legged children!

I am even in the process of taking portraits of our pups so they can go up on the wall next to our two boys... right with the children where they belong :)

Your dogs eat people?! lol Just kidding, I knew what you meant.

My dog and my cat are very much loved and adored, but they are still treated as animals. Very adored and well taken care of animals, but still animals.

My pets are indoors, but are not allowed to sleep on beds. They are allowed to snuggle on furniture though. The dog exits the house after all people. She has to sit/stay for everything she gets. There are no freebies around here. haha I want to give in sometimes, but I feel that it's important to be consistent.

The cat is, well, a cat. He's loving and friendly, but like most all cats, he's a loner. He just asks to be played with a couple times a day, have clean litter and to be fed, with a nightly cuddle. He's really easy. lol

I don't really think it's good to treat dogs like people because they may try to dominate the "pack", particularly small children. It's also not good for a dog to have people food on a regular basis. for one, it's bad for their health and it can also cause them to start the annoying begging behavior. But you know your dogs and if it's working for you, then it's not my business to tell you to stop.

Of course you are not the only people who treat their pets like family. I talk baby talk to all my animals and they love it. The only thing that I disagree with is feeding my dog or cats people food. A lot of things we eat aren't healthy for even us and I try to take the best care of my pets as possible. It is wonderful to know that people love their animals so much because there are so many people out there that abuse there animals. Thank you.

Oh yes! I have a cocker spaniel and jack russell/beagle that we just adopted and they are totally spoiled. They get people treats, sleep in our bed, and know they are spoiled. I also have a cat, shes a worse begger than the dogs! She definately has the steriotypical cat personality, my dogs are even afraid of her! Everytime I go somewhere I have to buy them something, I just have too. My dogs get sooooo many walks a day and I practically go through a box of milkbones in a week. Many people tell me I put my pets on a pedastal and I just tell them, I love them, and they know whos boss. Good question, I kinda wondered the same thing....

So exactly what variety of people do you feed them LOL
Sorry could not help myself.... luv that typo :)

Yes all four of mine are spoiled beyond help. The only thing different at my house is the 2 younger dogs have their own kennels that they stay in at night while they are still being trained.
Wish I could do this with the kids without going to jail ... just kidding. :)

My two 11 year old male cats are spoilt rotten. They have a bed either side of the heater. They get the run of the house and can sleep where ever they want. They usually push us off our chairs and we let them lol. I've crochet them all sorts of blankets as well. We don't run this house the cats do lol. We just pay the bills and buy the food lol.

My dog is spoiled , spoiled, spoiled. He is my everything while I am having hard days as my husband has Alzheimer. The Maltese seems to keep me sane with his company and my husband loves him too. He is not a dog but another baby with gorgeous brown eyes. Two years ago I was a cat person only.....gosh how times have changed.
