why or why not?

i'm not racist, and i don't have a prob with interracial dating, but i would be intimidated to approach someone outside my race for a date. i guess just because i wouldn't know how they felt about it. and i'd be afraid of offending them because i don't know what's okay to say or do in front of them, ya know?

Not at all, prettyhate. But then, it's not as if we really have a choice around here, hehe. I think for some of us who may have come from populations of say, 99.9999999999% Caucasian, it may just take a little bit of getting used to. I am however, more hesitant to approach a man than I am a woman. Wait, we're not talking about dating them, right? I'm talking about situations in which I need to ask for help or request service from someone. Datewise, a hot guy is a hot guy...;-)Anyways, I think you look really sexy as a redhead!! LOL

I'm a telecommunications professional. This might sound racist, but I find it much easier to relate to Black folk.
I'm a really laid back White guy,and I find it hardest of all to talk to other White folk on a professional basis.I find myself having to put on a persona that just isn't me in order to gain their trust and attention.Usually when I walk into a mostly White office environment I find it stuffy, and very unwelcoming.Because I don't wear a suit and tie to conduct my business the receptionists rarely glance up at me as they ask "And you're here for....?"
But when I find myself in an enviroment where my customers are primarily Black,I find that I can be taken seriously as a professional without having to resort to @ss-kissing.There's almost always a smile on the mouth that asks me "How can I help you?" More often than not I'm offered something to drink or snack on before I even begin my task.
You can guess who get's the best class of follow-up care from me! I only offer my business card (and cellphone number) to the customers who treat me with the same respect that I give to them!

I personally am not, but I am aware that there is still a large population of whites and blacks who are. This issue goes all the back to slavery days when it was taboo and even illegal to marry, much less date or mingle with others outside of your race. Do what you feel is right. Racism is an ugly thing, but ultimately you have to decide for yourself what is attractive to you.

I personally do not think race has anything to do with it. Unfortunatly, we are in a down spin as far as relationships go. If you have found true love, and you know it is. Nothing else in life matters because a "true relationship" is a thing of the past. Go for it!

Not at all. It's the person I'm interested in, race is irrelevant. I have what could be called a "multi-cultured" circle of friends. We enjoy each others company for who we are, like and dislikes, etc.

I think that diff races should mix. weather it's black and white, indian and chinese, white and chinese ... the mixing of races makes beautiful children.

I say go for it ... if you love the person then all the power to you :-)

No, color is not an option, if you like somebody then their race is immaterial...forget about the ones who look down on inter-racial relationships and follow your heart. ---Duane
