Do you know why your parents won't let you go out with this person? They probably have a good reason that the three of you have not been able to discuss. Sit down with your parents and get to the root of the problem. Your parents only have the best in mind for you. And remember that if things still don't go the way that you want them to, see if your parents are open to compromising. Perhaps they would be ok with this person coming over and spending time with your family first.

the question should be why won't they let you date him? at this point in the game, they just might have an edge and more wisdom in the subject. i'm sure they don't want you to get hurt and feel you could have better judgement. best bet right now, communicate and ask their opinion. if your under 18, and living at home, it's their rules. learn a thing or two from them, might help you in the long run for any relationship

In my experience, they're probably right..! (not what you wanted to hear, I'm sure). Maybe they're not right, and you have to persuade them. Remember, parents do this because they care, usually, and you're in luck. And b the sounds of it, yours do.
Some parents don't, and don't take enough interest in what their child does. Although it's restrictive, later on you will benefit from their greater experience, even if right now it seems wrong, and what they're doing, the most unfair thing they could do to you. Also, it will make you appreciate your freedom that much more!
I guess they're wanting you to focus on exams and stuff...?

My parents wouldn't either I had to be a certain age...but group things were OK. So a big group of people would go out to the movies, dinner, or even hang out at someones house and this was OK because I still got to know the person!!!

Parents usually have a good sense of what is good for their kids. Take a step back and get yourself out of the way and look at the qualities of the one you wish to date. What do you see?
