This isn't a rhyme but after you learn the technique you will always know the number of days in each month. Make a fist, start with the first knuckle, January. The valley February. The next knuckle, March. The valley April. The next knuckle, May. The valley June. The next knuckle, July. This is the only trick, you MUST use the same knuckle for August. The valley September. The next knuckle, October. The valley November. The next knuckle, December. All the months on the knuckles has 31 days. The months represented by the valleys have 30 days, except Feburay, which has 28 days unless it is a Leap year. Practice before take this trick on the road.

Thirty days has September, April, June and November. All the rest have 31 save February alone -- which has 28...except in Leap Year when it has 29.
That's how I learned it. Wish I could credit someone but don't know who made it up...maybe that "Anonymous" person who writes so much stuff!

Do you mean "thirty days hath September, April, June and November. All the rest have thirty one, except February which has 28 or 29 depending on a leap year."

Thirty days hath September, April, June, and November. All the rest have thirty one, except the second month alone, to which we 28 assign, till leap year makes it 29.

I actually don't need a rhyme as there are only seven day names to remember and I do pretty good at that. No matter how many time throughout a month these days are repeated there are still only seven to think about.

30 days hath September, April, June and November,
All the rest have 31
Except February which has 28. And sometimes 29.

Bad poetry, but it helps.
