There definitely are some Churches that can be rather strange in their services and even bizarre. Some dance in the aisles and scream. Personally I don't go to that kind of Church. That's a bit much for me.
There are nondenominational Churches I've heard that have very inspirational services and put up the lyrics to the hymns on a screen so everybody can see.
Another way to find a Christian Church is to ask your friends. Best way though is to pray and ask for guidance and the Lord will help you find the right Church that you will feel comfortable in and feel welcome.
The Church I go to is kind of sedate, but the singing service is fantastic and isn't always from the hymnal. There are times when there isn't a sermon, but there will be a musical program instead. When the pastor does speak, you can't help but be inspired, because he's such an excellent speaker. The communion service is held reverently like it's supposed to be anyway. If you aren't of the faith of this Church then things will be explained to you. My Church is large, but people are still very friendly and helpful. I am a Seventh Day Adventist and have been all my life even though I stopped going for several years because of conflicts as a teenager and young adult, but I never stopped believing in my heart.
What's important is that you continue your belief in your Creator, because He loves you.

Remember that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is a Christian, Catholics included. There's not much difference, it's just that non-catholic churches, such as Anglicans, Baptists and Presbyterians have a little more dynamic service, you confess to God directly, and the pastors have families of their own. But is pretty much the same Bible, and some churches have rock bands and performances during service. It is the people that make the church. Try and see, God will hear you wherever you go.

I was raised Lutheran and I found Church long and boring. I started going to the Vineyard Church and I loved the people, the teachings, and the music. I felt free to worship God anyway I wanted. I enjoy going to Church and I look forward to going. If you you don't find a Church you like, keep going until you do. I will pray for you to find one where you will fit in.
Sincerely Yours, Pastor Jeff Ludin

Chritian churches have a lot more activities and stuff for the kids... The churches are laid back and more accepting... Try it for your self, it will be a good experience... BTW Catholic church is a Christian church, I think you mean a Protestant church...

Depends on which kind you go to. Some are really scary because they like, won't let you in unless you're dressed up, or they won't let you smoke near the building, or they'll sing out of a hymn book. The real ones that accept you no matter what, and REALLY do some worshipping are the good ones. I had a pastor once who said if someone comes to church in shorts, a T-shirt, and bare feet? We'd see him coming to church next week in shorts, a T-shirt, and bare feet. That's what it's about!

Honestly, you would have to go to one. I know you dont repeat any of the greetings back, you sing hymns or contemporary songs depending on which one you go to. the Lords prayer isnt usually said but there is a lot of prayer. there are fun and interesting churches but there are also very staunch churches that dont clap or make noise, so it really depends where you go. If you are interested in going, I would recommend looking upthat churches website (if they have one)or talking to a church leader to make sure the word of God is being preached. DONT go to churches who base their entire sermons on subjects. Go to a church who teaches a verse by verse style. that way you get many different views of the verses and much more knowledge along with it. hope that helps!! message me if you have any more ??'s

My Catholic friends say that the Catholic Church is a Christian Church. Why do you not consider it so?

It depends on the congregation and denomination - I don't think there's anything wrong with visiting other churches just to see what they're like.
Have fun exploring.

Pray for the Lord to lead you to the right one some are good and teach the word. And some have false teachers. Learn the scriptures so they can't lie to you without you knowing it.
