I don't know a whole lot about early history, but I think that in the last century, WWII was probably the lowest point.

It was that period in History when Communism had an iron hold on many countries in the world. Looking back now, I can't imagine just how people tolerated a system that took away the rights of human beings.

I think WWI, trench warfare is the most evil thing one could ever imagine, my bro is touring the battefield sites atm. The holocaust is pretty f*cked up, but so is iraq. Basically I think the 20th C is a general low of humanity, maybe the 21st can be 1 of peace, not war

The Crusades and the Inquisition. Never have so many been murdered because of their beliefs.

Yet, the Crusades say they were holy wars-to free the holy land. Free? They were for wealth and power of the church, tho the lowly soldiers were told it was for faith, and a way to assure they get to heaven. They killed all across Europe and the Mid-east.

And, the Inquisition? Again, a rampage of hate and it must have been a disgust in the eyes of G-d. Again, you have only the church to blame.

These were times we will never forget.
