where can i get info for jobs like that,costs for training and stuff...?

You should try your local college. Some of them run the level 2 sia qualification that you are talking about. You do need this for any security work now so if you go to an employer and they tell you different, they are wrong. There are no loop-holes unfortunately and if you get caught working without a valid licence it will be you that gets fined. If you have no luck at college try the SIA (security industry authorities) website. good luck x

It depends on which country, state you are in. Those requiring licenses have a license bureau, ask them. If there is no license bureau, check employment ads and check the requirements to get a job as a guard. They have the answers for your locality. I once was a security guard and did not need a license, although the outfit I worked for DID need licenses.

I hate to say it but I don't think you need any special licences for that job...maybe even no qualifications !!!
