Buddy, you already know if you're a good painter or not. If you need a class to find this out, I would merely skip the whole process. As for naked models, get yourself a magazine if that is your bag.

A painting class will be very intimidating as there will be others in the class that are VERY good, so you cannot avoid making comparisons. Very likely you will feel under talented, worthless and just wait till the instructor's critique when he puts your work before the class and they and he tear into it. Naked models are no turn-on and the pressure to paint the human form will keep you limp. Now, what you can learn from the classroom experience is quite worthwhile ....but remember it is a LEARNING experience, not a showroom to display your talents. DO NOT FALL IN LOVE with your paintings! Paint, finish, sign and date, go home and throw it away. If you preoccupy yourself with admiring your current work, you will not progress. And that's what painting is all about. Progression not obsession.

LOL, buy some fingerpaint and some paper. Get drunk and go crazy with the fingerpaint, occasionally getting some on the paper. Drink some more and burn your creation, out of fear of embarrassment, unless you have kids, then frame it and take it to work. THEN, enroll in a painting class AFTER you make sure that they have naked models.
DISCLAIMER: Naked femal models usually come with tampon strings hanging out of their crotch, flabby ****, lice, overweight physique. Male models come with the same, only tampons up their butt. So, you most likely will NOT be turned on by your very own special nude model. Enjoy.

You bet you should, I did, and last Friday one of my paintings sold for 1,100.00 at a charity auction. You should never let anyone else's opinion of your talent matter, only your own, do it for your own gratification. I see the world in a whole different light now that I paint. I have been at it now for twenty years and never regretted it. Sometimes naysayers would criticize my work but luckily I didn't pay much attention. I think there are those who do things and those who only criticize those who do things. Do it. You will be so much happier.

Taking a painting class may help bring out a talent that you didnt know you had. So I say YES....if that is your true goal.
If you are looking for the naked girls........go to a strip club. Most people that are posing nude are doing it to help pay their way through college.......not to get gawked at by undersexed students.
Have a little respect for them and for yourself.

Definately.......You won't be good til you practice. When someone is in college you never hear, I can't possible take a math class...I'm no good at math...but you will hear that about drawing and painting. Take it... learn, have fun. That the whole point of taking the class. Why take it if your already good at it?

no, you should do it if you think that you'll enjoy it. It is very unlikely that you'll make a profession out of it, but it is almost certain that you'll like doing it.
