Steam your chiles for 10 minutes. After they cool, cut a slit down one side and
use a small spoon to carefully scrape out the seeds and veins. Next, fill the
chile with cheese, roll in milk, then into flour, then into egg/water bath,
then into seasoned bread crumbs. Deep-fat fry until golden brown (about 30 to
60 seconds). Yum!!

Instead of all the hastle with batter try wraping them in bacon. They actually taste better that way. When you clean the peppers make sure you get all the seeds out as well as the white membrane inside the pepper. If you insist on batter....make sure you clean them very welas they are coated with a wax to prevent spoiling. Try dipping them in egg and use a dry batter. You can find batters in the store along with spices and gravy mixes. As a last resort....go to a Sam,s club or Cost cutters. They sell large boxes of ready to bake poppers.

Bake your Jalapenos in the oven until tender. Put them in a plastic container and let them build up moisture. Peel off the skin and take off the stem and gut them.

Take your cream cheese mixture and spoon it in each half (or whole if you prefer) of the jalapeno.

Dip buttermilk and then in egg and then dip in Italian bead crumbs or flour. Sometimes dipping in egg and flour twice helps everything to stick good for frying.

Good luck!

The best way to get your batter to stick is to roll the stuffed jalapenos in flour before you dip them in batter. This gives the batter something to cling too.

I buy them in the frozen food section of the grocery store. You can buy them stuffed with either cream cheese or Cheddar. And they are delicious.

U could make your own..it;s just that you have to get the oil really hot before you put them in there...

u get them at costco but i think it may contain Partially Hydrogenated oils that;s not healthy for you.
