Check with any animal shelter or Humane Society in your surrounding area. I do know that there is a small fee for adopting a pet from the Humane Society but it is certainly worth it. All of my animals have come from shelters or the society and they have been very loving and wonderful companions. I could never understand why people buy dogs, cats or any other pet from a pet store. A lot of times those are the ones that eventually end up at the Humane Society. There are so many critters out there that need good homes. They can't help it that they were born and abandoned or not wanted. Good Luck!! We need more people to adopt innocent abandoned and/or abused animals.

Even if the puppy itself is free, just remember that all the vets bills, grooming bills, insurance, feed, treats, supplements, and accessories are not free.
