Technically, you could. You have to ingest the larvae or eggs of the worms in order to get them. Just be careful of your hand washing and you desperately need to tell your neighbor the kitty has worms. Inexpensive wormer from the vet for either round worms or tape worms will clear them up in a few weeks. Kitty needs help.

wash your bedding, make sure you wash your hands after handling the cat. tell your neighbor about the cat's worms and if they don't want to have the cat treated the best thing you could do is not let the cat into your house. cats that are allowed to roam often have worms......and you could have them too!

I don't know the answer to your question, but why would you let this cat sleep in your bed, knowing that there is something wrong with it? Are you dating the owner of the cat? If you are get rid of both, someone that doesn't take care of its animal cannot be a person that accepts responsibilities.

Yes they can.

In addition to "Cat Scratch Fever", Fleas, and Ticks, there's also:
Rabies, Ringworm, Chlamydia, Roundworms, Hookworms

That from one web site. I peeked at a couple of others and it appears that there are some others that are still up in the air...

If you don't practice good hygeine such as handwashing yes you can pick up hookworms or roundworms from a pet. You can't get tapeworms from your pet though. Since you are seeing worms from this cat my guess would be they are tapeworms.

People can also get pinworms but these don't come from your pets.

Yes. Look it up, just type in tapeworms and you'll get other links from it. Weird, I was only talking to my sis about it earlier. She said one of the kids mentioned about little worms in their poo, so I looked on the net for her.

Yes it is very much possible most American's don't worry about parasites but if you think you have worms you should most def. consider getting Dr. Natura's colon cleanse it will make you as healthy as a new born baby.
