If its bigger than a 50p piece he needs to go to A&E or you gp and get it checked.
In future, treat all burns immediately by running under the cold tap for 20 minutes.

I love this section it proves people know little about first aid(looking at the other answerrs)...for future use you must hold the affected limb under FLOWING water such as a tap or a shower head for 15-20 minutes...cover it completley with a non-fluffy material such as a sheet or pillowcase. If it is bigger than the palm of the persons hand you must go to the doctors if it is larger than a half limb say you must seek hospital attention immediatley...remember for future use the 3 C's Cool, Cover, Call

Get yourself an Aloe Vera plant, Just break off a piece and put
the Aloe on his burn. Do this 3 or 4 times a day and it will help
it heal, along with keeping the scar down to a minimum.Hope
this works for you.

Run it under the cold tap for about 10 mins or until pain dulls. Dont know what degree burns you may have from this so wrap in cling film then a cold wet towel and go to a & e. A very stupid thing to do and you have learned the hard way, hope you are not too badly scarred!

Given that it's happened more than 10 minutes ago, applying a cold compress won't do anything to minimize the burn.

Cleans with hydrogen peroxide, then apply neosporin. Cover lightly with gauze. Depending on how big and severe the burn is, you should clean it daily and reapply ointment until the redness goes away and it starts to scab.

If it's scabbed over I don't think creams will help. Tylenol will help with any pain. . watch it, though, so it doesn't get infected. There are some over the counter spray medicine to help with pain and burning. Ask your pharmasist. I sure hope your son will not put his body in harms' way anymore. Good luck ;)

Well, if it's healing and there's no longer a chance of infection, start putting Aquafor ointment on it to minimize scarring. It really works, put it on about 3 times a day. If it's still not healed, use Neosporin, it will kill germs and also minimizes scarring, after a few days of using Neosporin, switch to the Aquafor.

1. wash the area with cool (not cold) water to get the hairspray off.
2. Apply Aloe to the area with something sterile.
3. Apply a sterile dressing of some kind.
4. Go to the doc to make sure there is no nerve damage.

(if you don't have sterile material us something CLEAN)
Good luck

Aloe Vera gel is very good for repairing burned skin, or if it's serious you should go to your local hospital
