If there's no infection, and thus no need for antibiotic, you could do the same thing (minus cold medicine) you would do for a human child with a cold: Vaporizer, with mentholated oil (they sell it at drug stores). I had a cat with a bad respiratory infection and in addition to antibiotics, I had vaporizer running 24/7 (actually because I had a cold), and it helped him breathe easier.

Well, I adopted a kitten about 6 months ago & one of the things I received is a Cat Care book. I'm looking & the only thing I can find is a part about an upper respiratory infection. I know that you've said it's only some sneezing though & you think it's just a little cold. It does say KEEP A SICK CAT WARM. Just so you have the info it also says: Prevention is possible by vaccination. Treatment is usually a course of antibiotics followed by careful home nursing. Sneezing, coughing, & runny eyes are all common symptons. Upper respiratory infections can be serious & can spread quickly. Prompt vet treatment is therefore essential. I hope your kitty gets better soon & if there's any better information out there I hope you receive it.

Ok-here's a real answer.....cats tend to sneeze every once in awhile-this is normal....But- what you need to watch is: any eye or nasel discharge-any sounds of congestion-lack of eating or drinking-excessive sleeping...These are signs for u to go to the vet & get antibiotics...otherwise...let him be..

Take care

I know it is expensive to go to the vet, but in your cats case, you have to go because it needs antibiotics. If it doesn't get that it can die from pneumonia. I hope that you have only one cat because that sneeze is very contagious.
Good luck!
