thought i do not experience sores, but have blisters and flu- syptoms of syphilis and other long term effect now for 10 years. how can i effectively treat this can of longterm infection. i am losing my sex drive and my joints. doctors help me. i am in africa.but instead of losing weight i am gaining because i can,t excise anymore. someone help me.

it is absolutely possible to contract the two together; they're entirely different organisms. Herpes is a virus, and syphilis is a bacteria. Some antibiotics can cure the syphilis, but because it can infect the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), you can get some really bad symptoms everywhere in your body (organs, joints, etc, not the genitals!), so get it treated as soon as possible! The herpes will never go away completely, but there are some good medicines out there to keep your outbreaks under control. You need potential hospitalization and some good prescription medicine!

I got identified with herpes (type 2) about 6 years ago, when I was still attending college and had a mindless one-night stand. I don't know if you have them both, but untreated syphilis can lead to insanity and eventually death. You should find a doctor somewhere who can treat you because I think one shot of penicillin can cure syphilis.
