Ok, I have the same problem, but MY hair is thick. It doesn't curl without product eather. So, What I got was GOT2B Curled up or something like that. It was a hair product. Spray it on the strand of hair you're going to curl, (Till it's damp) then Curl it, and hold it. :) Put some hair spray on the final product. Also, It may not straighten for various reasons. How long is your hair? What straightener do you use? I had a cheep 50 dollar straightener, that didn't do anyuthing. you have to go to a salon, and straighten it. Also I fyou have that, then work your way from the back of your hair, all the way up, THEN after and only after your back is done do your sides, the same way. (Starting from the bottom working your way up.) Use small strands. It may take a while, but it's worth it, i find. Or if those don't work, use a Real Cloths Iorn. I did it for the longest time. Just don't put any product in yoru hair when you do that. :) Good luck girlie!

my hair is thin too. This is what I do.
1. Use a color even if you like the color of your hair- the chemicals roughen the cuticle and put some 'bounce' and shine in your hair.
2. Get a good cut - one length, between chin and shoulder length. Whatever looks good on you.
3. Use a dab of some product on your hair after washing, to texturize and 'curl' - there are a lot of them on the shelf - just be sure to not use one with any oils and a little goes a long way!
4. Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb (once when damp) and let your hair dry naturally, and fluff it by finger to dry.
5. Get a good hair spray. When dry, lift your hair in small sections and lightly spray the roots across the crown of your head. Give your hair a good toss and off you go!

You will be really surprised at how simple, natural and healthy your hair will look. Don't worry about making it 'curl' - a good cut and natural look is just beautiful all by itself.

Use your fingers to tidy or push your hair into place during the day. Don't brush your hair, this pulls the natural oils through your hair and weighs it down. I go all day without doing a thing and it looks just fine.

A beach wave can be really cute! Try taking a shower at night, partially drying your hair( keep about 1/2 of it wet), then run some anti-frizz cream through your hair and wrap it in a bun. Take it out in the morning and spray it with some hairspray.
Another way is buy some Mark Garrison's Candy Wrappers hair curlers, and put them in wet hair overnight. They're really soft so they won't poke you while you sleep. Spray with hairspray in the morning.
If you don't like a beach wave then buy a round brush and use it when you blow dry your hair. Tease it and then put it up in a ponytail. hope these work for you!

use a lot of products. the more damage your hair is, the more easier it is to curl it. you also have to curl it a certain way. the best way is to pull the iron curler down and release the curls, don't turn the iron curler as you release your hair.

thin hair should be easy to curl. use mouse before you curl and add hairspray afterwards.

Try a volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Just go to your local drugstore and they have a huge selection on hair volumizing products, that are at good prices. Also blow dry your hair upside down and ruffle it with your fingers. Good luck!
