I'm Asian gal .. sort of seeing this great black man. He's great and I think we may eventually head to "boyfriend-girlfriend" relationship. But, it's pretty early to tell ... so I'm just going with the flow. But, I've never dated black men before, so what kind of signals usually black men give when he likes you? He's spending his weekends with me, we cuddle alot, we make out alot but he also kiss my forehead (which is pretty sweet I think), and he was about to leave back to his place ... he always like hugging me really tight and saying "I don't want to leave etc", and when we cuddle he always says "this is really nice" etc. Does this mean he like me?
Also, I'm wondering ... how does the society view interracial relationship nowaday? He told me that he didn't care about races as long as we're both happy. I'm just the type of girl who doesn't like drama and such, and I don't like it when people start looking at us funny in public. Some people still do that, any advices?

Well, let see ... since people answering my question seem to wonder what I think about interracial relationship. My answer is that I do not care about races, I like him because who he is (not because he's black to whatever), and yes he has a stable job.

Well I will tell you this.. I am white/Puerto Rican mixed..My husband is black and we have been together for 13 years, Since jr. High School. There is alot of ignorant people out there and you will have ppl stare and make you feel uncomfortable, But one thing you need to realize is that they don't know anything about you or him...So don let there ignorance have effect on your relationship. To answer your question about if he likes you..I would say definatly..He probally don't want to move to fast cause he want's it to be perfect, and when he says stuff like he don't want to leave ..he's really feeling you. Now days, more and more ppl are dating outside their races, Honestly, Here in America I'd say about 85 to 90% of Americans are not one full blooded race, Look at the History here, Our ancestor's were all sleeping around, But just kept it all in the closet, So that's so Shallow and self centered to even think that it's bad to date another race, ppl really need to get a life of their own and stop worrying how someone else lives their life. Good Luck !!!

A few things to think about.
Are you dating him BECAUSE HE IS BLACK? or because you like him and he just happens to be black.
Today more than ever, interacial relationships are accepted more and more. But you have to be clear about the differences.
Coming from 2 different cultures can off-set the attraction you feel. You are in the discovery phase of a relationship... the hard part is meeting family... Are the cultural differences something you can live with. Are the religious differences something you can live with. There is a lot to consider beyond what everyone else thinks.
Black families differ from asian families in religion, upbringing, family relationships food etc. It's not just about color.
Color is exterior...but the heart is interior and thats what any relationship should be based on...
Once you are clear on why you are dating him and what his qualities are...and you still like each other then go for it.
I have dated interacially and the most important thing was the heart.... nothing else mattered... Best wishes and luck to you in your relationship.

Well i'm white and just got out of a four year relationship with an asian man, I never loved anybody as much as I loved him, but I think culture shock was an issue to our end. Probaly more so for him than me. However if you were a white girl with a black man I would say its fine. I think there's less likely to be a problem with him then what will be with you. Just from my experiences, and I'm not saying anything bad about you, but every asian person in his family I met, was very different from me. That was the problem and our end. My thoughts are that he will be fine and he sounds wonderfully sweet, and if YOU can make your two worlds meet things will be fine. I think he likes you a lot. Good luck

you must understand that socity doesn't paint a pretty picture of Brown(black) men. So people are always going to look at you especially since the fad is to either be with a caucasian guy or an asian guy of the same race. The people who are going to give you the most s hit will be your family if he isn't succesful. Go for it break down the barrier so I can get more then just asian women from the hood.

.....i'm sorry but that was stupid. Black men White men Asian men we all act the same. There is no approach to getting a black guy. It sounds like he likes you so go for it. If you don't like drama than don't go for it. I don't know why people would look at two minorities (asians are minorities too) together. Asian girls are FINE....i'd go out with one but I already like someone so yea.......my advice is do what you want.....personally I think this is the kind of question a white girl would ask lol....but color dosen't matter and maybe people aren't looking at you weird maybe your just super paranoid of what others might think that your seeing things....

It shouldn't matter what people think about you and your man, color has never been an options under the guise of love, if you really like and care for this man, then stop worrying about what people will think . society is slowly coming to grips with inter-racial relationships, it is a natural and beautiful pairing between two people. bask in your new found feelings and make each other happy, ignore the drama. ---Duane

I don't see anything wrong with inter racial dating.
I have a beautiful black man that I love. And you can see how white I am.
There are people in society who don't think races should mix.
Never let anyone get you down about this. They are the one with the problem. If you can keep your sprit open and don't let other people bug you, then you will have a wonderful life with this man .
Most people in our society are open to racial mix families.

Well...you already know that he likes you. If you like him, who cares what anyone else thinks. You have to know that in life inter-racial dating has it's down sides, but with time things are going to get better and you just blow off the people who don't approve. It doesn't matter what the skin color is, but how you 2 feel about each other. Let it go and go for it, it could be the best decision in your life.

Mostly I ignore people in public. I like to be around the black culture, it's different and interesting. I've been with a black man for 10 years now. We are in the city and that helps. If however, you think that you will be uncomfortable, then your best served not to get involved to begin with.

It's very hard today to find a partner who cares about you as much as this guy seems to. If you have deep feelings for him, forget any racial bias that may or may not come your way.
If people look at the two of you "funny," you look back and smile. You are part of society so don't worry what other people think.
