i've learned that the best way for me to relax and leave my worries behind is to take a hot shower (I love this so much), pull the curtains down and just lie down in my bed, trying not to think about anything. but what bothers me is that while I do this, I become sad/depressed even though i'm just trying to get some peace of mind, rest and sleep.

why is this happening

Depression is not always obvious.

It sound like you keep yourself very very busy which is probably why if you are depressed you have not seen any other symptoms.

Ask friends and family have they noticed anything about you recently? If so speak to a doc

Kelly try guessing why the depression appears. I believe it is caused by our own brain when we have learned false expectation for love and sex and life proves the brain is wrong.
It happens because even if you aren't thinking about anything in particular, your subconscious is. While you are trying to relax the brain is thinking at several ways. You might try some mental imagery. My favorite is to guess why friends and family are doing what they are doing to me. I imagine how their life is different when I am not around. Getting all the garbage out and sending it off in a garbage truck is called relearning... ouch. You see what happens when you do this. You feel it. Well you are not alone we are few but we are all outsiders.

Hi thats a good thing to do have ashower, I nyself have ashower when i have pinic atack at home. It will relax you. I have trouble getting to sleep myself as the stress i have in my life.
This a learning tool haveing a shower. Feeling clean and washing away our bad feelings and stress in all of our lifes. Good luck

You're reflecting on your day or maybe something deep down is worrying you. Try deep breathing exercises if you're feeling stressed.
