NO. it has nothing to do with score improvement. they just send because your name is in the list.

Don't know why you are confused. It's very simple. Based on the information you provided in the application, you have been approved. The bank will be verifying the info which will include pulling your credit report. If the info was correct, then you should have your card in about a month, worst case. It is likely that you will get the card within 2, maybe 3 weeks.

It works this way: The credit card company paid the credit bureau for names and addresses of everyone in a given area with a FICO score above a certain number. 90% of the population has a score above that number. If you are on the list, you are 'pre-qualified' for a card. If you apply, they actually pull your credit file and decide if your score meets the actual criteria to get a card. These criteria are always higher than the 'pre-qualified' standard.

Not really. Credit card offers come because they get your name off a consumer list.

They only way to know if your credit score has gotten better is to pull your credit report from one of the 3 credit sources (TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax).

Probably because your name is on a lot of mailing lists.

Actually, you can get more mail when your credit falls a bit; credit card companies like risk because it means more interest.
