the sims 2 wont start up the install?

ok i put the disk(1) in the cd drive and the auto run menu to instal it doesn't come up(i've installed it before but had to uninstall it because sims nightlife wouldn't work right).i tryed manaully installing it through 'my computer' but that freezes up most of the time. i tryed doulbe clicking on the cd drive didnt work. i tryed right clicking auto run didnt work. i tryed going to the cd folders and clicking the start up file but it always freezes when the folders on the cd menu pop up. sims 2 installed before on this computer but wont this time. if anyone knows what the problem could be please tell me how i can correct this thanks =)

i installed it once already and it worked fine that time

i am afraid you may have a damaged disc. i have the same problem and havent been able to play for a few months

Well on some computers (like mine unfortunately), since it includes 3D graphics and other complicated things as such, it will require an more updated and complicated video disc program thing, so did you ever get a pop up that says "Download failed, not an accurate Winapp 32 application" or such as that??? If you did, then maybe it's because that computer specifically doesn't have the program (or isn't as updated) as it should be or have. So, it is fixable but i'm not sure how, Sorry, try searching up "renewing your" (or fixing your) "Winapp 32 application". Hope this helped!

attempt working the CD on another laptop if it doesnt artwork on different laptop too. Then rightclick the cd rigidity and choose open or stumble on. Then replica the contents to a various folder and use nero to make image report and mount that image report utilising daemon strategies (image mounting utility ) in case you adventure another issues merely touch me by way of mail
