These days you can learn how to speak Spanish over the internet. Check out this online course, it's voted as the best Spanish online course of all time: http://www.rocketlearner.com/spanish The course is very easy to follow, I was able to learn Spanish in just 3 months.
I live in New York City, I wanted to go to a Spanish language teacher but that would have cost me over $800 per month. Good thing with this internet, $800 it's a lot of money for me.

Create a matching game with pictures on one side and the Spanish word on the other -- pre-schoolers and primary school-aged children learn well through visual aids and repetition. Also playing Spanish/English music -- where the song is first sung in English and then in Spanish.
Also - Dora the Explorer website provides some great interactive games for kids to hear/learn Spanish.

I used to teach spanish pre-school through 8th grade. I had several activities that my pre schoolers loved:
I would get pictures of whatever words I was trying to teach them at the time. So lets say that you were going to teach colors. Get strips of paper of each color. Have the children sit in a circle and you chant:
pass pass pass rojo pass it to your friend or amigos. The child that gets the color strip then says it in spanish and then in english. You can do this activity with just about anything. They love it.
I used creative movement to introduce many words. We would learn several new vocabulary words doing the 'pass pass chant' and then a few days later we would use creative movement. I would call out the spanish for an animal or whatever it was that we were learning and the children would act like the animal that you called out.

Get a disc from Staples. It has music and cartoons and dancing to the beat and it teaches Spanish.
Some great ones out there and it is a good idea to teach children two languages. They always have a job that way.
Two secretaries you are going to take the one that is bi lingual first.

In celebration of International Children’s Day, share a lesson that you learned from a little kid. Share what’s important to you while learning how to share safely online. Then keep coming back to see what other people are learning from kids around the world. Spread the word.
