I'm pretty sure I have swollen glans, I was just wondering if I have to go to the docter and get something for it, or just let it pass on it's own? Is there anything I can take to make it better? Thanks

Where are your swollen glands? Most of them are located in the neck or under the jaw, but they can also be located in the armpits and groin area.

Most of the time they are irrelevant and are a sign that you may have a cold or a transient viral infection that is going to go away in some days. So I wouldn't bother for now, they should be gone in some days. If after 1 week they are still there visit your doctor or mail me (sometimes they might be related to other diseases too).

And if they are sore, you might take an Advil or Aleeve, as someone else here wrote.

Usually people get swollen glands due to the body fighting off an infection of some kind. It is not always necessary to see a doctor if this happens, but if you are not feeling well I would advise you to go. This can be a sign of something worse that could happen to your body. If I was you I would go to the doctor sometime in the near future.

You have swollen glands. There are glands in your neck, throat...lots of places...called lymph nodes, and if you get a cold or any kind of virus...it will pass through the lymph node and be filtered. Lymph nodes remove the virus as best they can, but they can swell while they're fighting it. If you start running a fever, then see a doctor but for now...just over the counter stuff should be fine, like tylenol or an antihistamine. Hope you feel better soon!

Glands will swell and hurt with mild illnesses. Take a couple of aspirin and they should go down in a day or so.
