I am dumb enough to try. We broke up but still were able to tell each other we loved each other afterwards. Anyone have success at anything like this?

Yes. You have to let the past hurts go. If the other is willing to forgive and forget, try it. Start out dating like you used to, still say the I love you's if your comfortable. There is something exciting about starting over. Especially when you don't live together. You build up the anticipation to see eachother, and everything feels that much better when you go to your own house at the end of the night. Makes you ache to see that person again. I feel it made me love my man more when we tried this.

Every relationship is different. I know that 2nd time arounds haven't always worked for me but for you it could be different. Just try it out. If you start seeing the same signs as you did before you broke up the first time, talk to him about it and make a decision from there.
All the best

Well, maybe you guys should talk it out. My is like that. we love each other but we don;t have time. We start over three times. We recently started over again and try hard to understand each other view and not just keep it in and be angry about it. If u do the relationship is not going to work.

yes. MY BF of 4 years and I broke up. We weren't able to get along and decided to take time off as a break up.. 2 months later we realized we couldn't live without each other and here we are agin. But- we promised each other to try to negotiate when one of us doens't like something that the other does like etc. Give yourself another try with your girl or guy. You never know it can be better!

Yeah, we told each other we loved each other too. Then it was back to the same old hell. For me, starting over has never worked.

It can work if both of you have resolved the issues that caused the break up
