I had horrible side effects from depo...i had the normal weight gain, no sex drive and i did retain water however i also had a period for 5 months straight!! My doctor kept telling me that it was normal while getting used to the medication but when i went for a second opinion...not normal at all! I had gotten woozy and found out i had become anemic from losing so much blood for so long!

It was a few years ago, and I had lots of symptoms, but the only one I remember now is the DEPRESSION. Crushing, awful depression the whole time. I was living with someone who was impossible to live with, but I couldn't get the energy to move out, and it was one of worst nightmares of my life!
I kept it up for the full recommended nine months, and then I went off it and moved out... I was taking it for severe endometriosis, which improved quite a bit and was okay for a couple of years after that. But I won't take it again, personally...

I had a terrible allergic reaction to medication I had to take...I was scratching and red till the shot wore off. In the end it ended up stopping my body from ovulating, and I had to take clomid to get pregnant

Depression, no libido, depression, no libedo, depression, and weight gain. I could not stay on it because the side effects were so bad for me. I am on NuvaRing now and I love it.
