Hello to all who offered support on this situation where my daughter left me her cats. The cat lost so much weight and is all bones, won't eat. We truely don't have the money for a vet but after all the answers that really encouraged me to seek medical attention for Simba, and seeing her struggle to walk and then fall over....well, I had to do something. So I found a credit card to put the charges on. So far they are over $220. Test results wil be back on Tues. To the person who wondered why I could afford a computer and not pay vet bills, well the computer was brought and paid for 3 years ago, to the one who wondered why my home is so cold, it's because I can't afford to pay for propane and use space heaters when I'm home. I have the cats because my daughter lost her job and home in July. To the person who thought I should pawn something, well the nearest pawn shop is 25 miles, and I'm not sure I have anything that would be worthy of pawning. Most of my money is to keep car go.

I wish you well Patti. In todays world no person or animal must suffer from lack of finances. You can make arranements with whatever need you may have. You could have made arrangements with the vet if you had asked. I hope the cat makes it. For low income families there are programs, all you need do is seek them out. It takes time and effort, but well worth the effort.

Have you tried different cat foods? Try soft canned food? If no, try white rice and chicken. The good thing about that is you can eat it too. I know times can be tough and it sounds like some people just don't care, but dont' listen to them. Animals need us, and I'm with you on doing what it takes to help. Let me know what the tests say tuesday. Maybe worms?

lady, if you are THAT poor then you have absolutly no business with any animal!!!!! you can barely take care of yourself much less a sick cat!!!!

my advice to you is to give the cat away to a nice and loving home who CAN afford her medical bills!!! either that or your SPCA!!

I read your last questions and even answered one of them and I believe that it's VERY sad and VERY irresponsible on your part to wait SOOOOO long to get that cat some help!!! whether you can afford it or not!!!!!!!!

she is YOUR responsibility and if you can't give her the proper care that she needs then there are plenty of people out there who can!!!!

it truly sickens me to know that there are individuals out there (like you) who will let their cat suffer and be in pain!!!! it's like neglect!!!

whether she's your daughters or not!!!

sorry, but this is my opinion!

Try giving her raw fish, tuna fish or whatever she'll eat to make her gain some wait. This is just a temporarilly solution. Good luck tou you and the kitty, I hope everything turns out o.k.
