While big dogs are wonderful, they are a LOT more work! They eat more, make bigger messes ofter have more hair to shed. When they are still being trained, its lot easier to handle a small dog jumping up on you. Shitszu's are so wonderful but you might want to pay to have there hair always short because it is a lot of work other wise. also they have big eyes that are very venerable to kitty's but if you don't have cat's that wouldn't matter of course. They are not real hyper, extremely loyal and loving. They may get annoyed with real small kids though. Chawowas are super hyper, but they are so tiny, its not overwhelming. Another point for small dogs is they are often much easier to keep in a yard. Good luck

Out of which breeds?

Some dogs are more stubborn in others, but most dogs are comparable when it comes to training, if the training is done correctly and you are diligent.

While dogs like border collies and aussies are smart, and catch onto training very easily, they are high energy and need to be challenged constantly or they can become destructive.

Black Lab - Merlin - 11 years - Male - funniest ever - Merlin likes to play fetch! If we in basic terms say the interest "ball" he is going balastic! My son performs baseball and has a batting cage in the decrease back backyard - each and every time he's training - Merlin runs all around the batting cage barking. Yellow Lab - Guinness Stout - 9 months - Male - Guinness is a brat - he likes to play fetch too yet in difficulty-free words to thieve the ball from Merlin and run off. He also sits on the settee mutually with his butt on the arm and his body laying throughout the accurate of the settee. Shih-Tzu - Gizmo Bagwell - 6 years - he's taking no crap from Guinness - so sometime Giz replaced into on the settee - Guinness replaced into barking at him so at the same time as he rotated - Giz jumped on Guinness' decrease back barking at him.

A dog that is given the correct training... there is no dead set breed that is guaranteed 100% easy to handle. All dogs need some form of training to ensure they make good pets. If you remember this it will ensure you have a good dog:-

'A dog is as good as its upbringing'

Be good to your dog, and it will return the favour.

well it depends if you are looking for a big or small dog.
i personally like big dogs.
i have had many dogs when i was growing up and the breed i settled with today is a boxer.
they are very smart and learn quickly as well as are extremely sweet and gentle even though their appearence is mean.
i love my boxer and if you are interested in big dogs this may be a breed for you.

Easier than???
I have a bichon frise who has a great personality, house trained, uses doggy door, doesn't shed, doesn't smell (unless not bathed) rarely barks and eats very little (and obviously poops very little, when he does)
He has allergies, though
