This is a question for a dog grooming course I'm doing. Describe fully what you would do in this situation? Cut the dog with scissors. Bleeding heavily in testicle or vaginal area? I know their are preasure points for bleeding in certain areas. I dont know which pressure point I would use for bleeding in this area. Does a dog bleed more in this area then lets say, maybe a cut else where on the body.

Well I'm sure there's a specific area to stop such bleeding, but I worked as a vet tech for a couple years, with any cut, I would have to say to put pressure on the wound until the bleeding stops...
and sugar? You can't really say that. S*** happens, and not every animal is a perfect customer. Dogs/cats wiggle, get upset, bark, get excited, and yes, as a pro you will be more inclined to not cut the animal per experience, but there are never guarantees.

Generally I would ensure that the dog cant bite me then apply pressure to the cut to help slowdown/stop the bleeding. Also I would get a colleague to call the vet and take the dog there as quickly as possible.

Put pressure on till it stops bleeding and if it does then put some sort of antibiotic ointment on the cut... if it does not stop bleeding then bring the animal to the vet.

Best question I've ever seen on YA!!!

There's no witty answer that would do it justice.

Other than think of what the magistrate will say and how you'd explain it to the local papers.

IF you are being asked this question, I would think you should have already studied that chapter. They wouldn't ask you something you don't know or have not covered. Am I right?

Let me know when you start grooming so I don't bring my dog to you..............

put pressure on the area until it stops. if the pad becomes too blood stained add another one. if you do this often then find another job.

Take it to the vet immediately!! The vaginal area is very sensitive, your dog must be in extreme pain! Please take him, and very soon!
