Podium : 1. Vinokourov 2. Valverde 3. Sastre
Assuming that Basso does not take part. For Pereiro, it will be quite difficult because this year he has taken 30 min during a stage.

Other outsiders : Evans, Leipheimer, F. Schleck, Popovych, Kloden and Menchov.

Who cares? The Tour de France has lost its excitement and soul. No uphill battles, no rivalries. The awe of the Tour de France ended with Lance Armstrong and i do not know when it will come back. The scandals have stripped the great race of its spirit and the lack of true competition has disappeared with "play it safe" athletes. Who will win? Whoever wins, i'll just read it on the news. Right now, I'll just watch the great races of Miguel Indurain and Lance Armstrong as the Tour de France goes through the flat stages of its time.

definite, Lance is definetly operating marathons now. about 2 weeks in the past, right here replaced into right here in NYC, promoting his new line of Nike operating clothing, and he did a training run with countless the ny operating golf equipment. i really, truly doubt that Lance will ever race the excursion de France back. i do not doubt that if he were to initiate training back, he might want to race and do properly, yet from teh comments he's revamped the perfect 2 years it doesn't seem that he's in touch in doing so. He truly has no longer something left to tutor by technique of racing yet another excursion. Conversely, lots of the greats, like Merckx and LeMond have retired then come out of retirement to race and win yet another TDF. i don't think of he's 'previous it' in any respect, because each and every of the excellent TDF riders contend that the race is really psychological, and the hardest section is getting previous the psychological obstacles to make your body carry out day by day. it truly is the brutal part of the excursion, the repetitive slog. in my opinion, i might want to opt to work out Lance race countless the different enormous races, like the Vuelta or the Giro, i imagine that is extra exciting. I somewhat have also heard some rumors those days that he replaced into contemplating attempting for the hour record - now that is something to work out.

Hard to say, with all the drug allegations. I would say Ivan Basso, but nobody knows his situation.

I'll say Alejando Valverde.
