Is this the same? I read before that evalution was proven by bacteria evolving to resist antibioctics. So if a snake handler becomes immune to venom, is he evolving or adapting? And if someone took too many antibiotics, do they become immune to them or are they evolving?

It is also said that alcoholism is passed down in the DNA. So if someone becomes immune to how much alcohol they can drink, and their children are born with that tolerance, did that child or children evlove because they are born with a higher tolerance as in how the alcohol effects their body and mind?

no- the body can tolerate different things with a build up depending on the person. This is where medical science comes in not evolution--

Evolution is classed as a change in the gene pool of a species over time so a snake handler developing immunity has obviously not evolved. An entire species of insect developing an immunity to pesticide has however evolved because they have changed at the genetic level. That in itself shows the absurdity of creationists saying evolution doesn't happen. It has been observed happening. It doesn't prove macro-evolution but it does prove that there is a biological mechanism at work in the natural world stimulating evolutionary change.

the bacteria is said to evolve because most die, but some are resistant and they live and reproduce so future generations are different

if you become immune to venom or antibiotics
it is adaption, because your DNA hasnt changed and therefore the next generation will not have that immunity

if however you are born with a DNA alteration that makes you resistant then that is evolution because the next generation will have it
