I enjoy my freedom. If you think marriage is a pain in the butt. You haven't found the right person. If you found the right person you could have both...you could make agreements to say go on a vacation alone (if that is what floats your boat). My friend goes on vacations with her one girl friend all the time. We also go out to lunch once or twice a month. Never do we ask our spouces for permission to leave the house. Keep looking and someday you will find someone that won't tie you down like you think.

I'm pretty much single and alone, but yeah it gets to me somtimes. The best thing to do is even if you want to be alone is to at least still date. Find a girl that values independence too and maybe start a casual relationship (once a week sort of thing) that way your still free but you have someone that can break that up too.

i for my section get exhilaration from being on my own -- a minimum of as far as different human beings are worried. I do have 2 German shepherds, and this is effective to have them around for slightly companionship. yet i've got been a loner when you consider that i develop right into a baby as a results of loss of youngsters my own age in the community, and that i've got discovered to be mushy with my own corporation. i do no longer ideas being around human beings for a rapid on a similar time as, yet while all is declared and accomplished, i'm completely able to remarkable myself. Books, needlework, twiddling with the canines, listening to hint, writing -- the day isn't long adequate to do each and all of the stuff that I get exhilaration from. I discern try to be a competent pal to your self formerly you're able to be a competent pal to somebody else. And in case you may no longer entertain your self, how will you entertain yet another individual? :)

I married a jerk-ette, and I am glad she is gone.
I enjoy coming home and eating what i want, doing what i want, having the house at the temperature I want, the TV on the channel I want, etc...but I also like it when I am with a woman I like...I might have married the jerk-ette for fear of being alone, but I don't feel that anxiety anymore........fugg it, i would rather be alone than with a bad woman

I used to think the same thing during my first marriage. Worst decision either of ever made was getting married. After our divorce I was so happy to be free!!!!!!!!
Now, 6 years after that divorce, I am remarried and VERY happy. Its all about meeting the right person. Neither my wife or I try to control one another, but instead respect each others decisions in life and support each other.

I enjoy being on my own with no ties. I am free to do as I wish. I could fly to anywhere and live and explore for a few months, and maybe start a new life. But you know what? I don't. Go figure.

I like to be free so I don't have to worry about all the problems, but it does get very lonely and I would rather be miserable sometimes and happy most times. So I would rather be with someone over not being with someone.

I totally agree. I've been single for a long time and love it more and more each day. There are times when I wanna be with someone and I'll do that...but like you said, I'm free to come and go as I please...no strings attached. Life's Great!

Being alone has its own charm. Freedom to go anywhere ,do anything you like, but one cannot be alone all the time. One needs company and your question is only on being alone as such I cannot describe the joy of being in company.

it's nice being alone and doing all the things you want but sometimes things can get a bit lonely and you think about being with someone.
