When I was away visiting people for a week, my bf called me every single day, morning and night and I did the same. I was happy, because i'd been feeling a little neglected lately, and it seemed like my little vacation revived things between us. Seriously, it was just like in the beginning of our relationship, when we first got together. He was super attentive, calling me back and forth, and me doing the same, and us talking at least once a day, aaalll week long. WELL, I am back in town now, and things have pretty much gone back to the way they were before I left. WTF? What gives?!

See, when you are out of town he does not know what you are up to. Also, him calling you, is keeping him informed that you are not out playing the field. If you what him to pay more attention, stop answering all his calls. Make him feel like you are too busy. That should show him!

It might be one of those relationships where you long for each other more when you're apart than together. I've been there girl and it didn't end pretty. Sorry to say but try to reevaluate your relationship to see if maybe it needs to end or if you need to work on "reviving" your spark.

it seems like he needs a little reminder that he isnt the only one who will have you. maybe he stayed in so close because you were away and felt you could have hooked up with someone else while you were away so he decided to play you real close. give him a little space to make him wonder a bit he'll come around

Confront him one it. Or call him and try to hold a conversation. Ask him why he doesn't call you much anymore. If that doesn't improve things maybe you should consider if this is really a relationship you want to be in.
