Do Cysts Go Away

2016-10-02 23:05:13 · answer #2 · answered by seligson 4 · 0 0

A Epidermal cysts is a Sperm filled cyst in the tube above and behind each Testicle, it feels like a small firm lump in the Scrotum on top of the Testicle the cause is unknown but Doctors think it's caused by a obstruction of the tube that carries the Sperm, although they usually don't cause pain but in rare causes can be uncomfortable, I guess u are one of the exceptions they do not usually go away by themselves they can be removed for men who have pain with them very rarely do they cause any problems they are not a danger to your health, I guess it's a decision you will have to make on your own. Good Luck Rita

I have a cyst on my wrist that gets bigger and then shrinks on its own, but it doesn't "go away". Your doctor can give you an anti inflammatory drug and it will shrink it, but it will come back. My doctor said I could have mine drained, but it would come back, so I didn't do it. He said it was not harmful and if it wasn't bothering me there was no need to have anything done to it other than taking the drugs to shrink it. I took them and it shrank, but came back. It doesn't hurt or hinder me in any way so I just leave it alone now.

I'm sure there are cysts that do need to be removed, I guess it depends on what kind it is and where it is. Let your doctor look at it.

Some do. I had a ganglion cyst on my wrist and the doctor told me he could extract the fluid with a needle or i could wait and it might go away on its own. I opted to wait since it wasn't painful or causing me any other problems. In a few weeks it was gone.

some go away on their own. most require medical attention. a dr can give u antibiotics for the infection and may have to lance the site. best idea is just call your dr and make an appt time. until u get to him/her, u can put black salve (icthamol ointment) and neosporin on it with a bandage. if u start to run fever, get to the er, for this may be a sign that it has busted on the inside and not the outside of your body.

Sometimes, but cysts can also become tumors. You should have yours checked by a doctor just to be on the safe side.

Haha. I know soooo much about cysts.
They used to be called Bible bumps. Some catholics believed that they were some sort of punishment from God or Satan. They used to hit them with Bible's very hard. You usually get them on your hands or arms. My friend had one that she used to hit a lot- just for fun, and one day, it went away. But, it came back in a couple of weeks.
My other friend had it surgically removed. It might be best to have a doctor look at it. If they pop inside your arm or hand, it can ruin something inside your arm (i forgot what it can ruin).
Well, I hope I helped. =]

Hm...I think it depends on the type...I had a ganglatic (sp?) cyst or my foot, and it did go away, but I'm not sure.

I know my mom gets the same type on her wrists, and she usually has to go and get them drained.

it depends on the type of cyst. some you can take care of on your own and others have to be taken care of by a MD.
