just wondering, Im trying to bargain shop for flooring in my dining room looking for hard wood vs pergo, what do you prefer?
room measures 14X17 sq ft. the price Im finding so far is $10.99 installed. Is this a good price?

Room this size will cost you @ 10,99 a square foot $ 2611. It is fair price for wood floor (prefinished or finished on site}. Make sure that it included removal and disposal of the exiting flooring and all labor, materials, taxes, insurance and other fees (like delivery). And get written guarantee wood floor should be guaranteed for 15 years for wear and tear.

Most do it yourself stores now measure in sq ft. It makes the product being sold seem less expensive. 1 sq ft is 12"x12",
1 sq yd is 36"x36" or nine square feet. Going rate for installation is about $5 sq ft.
