Yes, but you should make your workout a little less intense than you normally do. If you usually spend an hour on the treadmill, cut that in half. It's going to be hard to do Pilates, yoga, or any cardio with a stuffy nose and congested lungs, because those kinds of exercises are all about breathing. Try to get yourself in the steam room after your workout to alleviate the sinus pressure and stuffiness, and remember to drink lots of water. Get well soon!

When I do that it spreads the cold throughout my body and I get real sick. I usually take a break and wait at least until I get the cold under control to resume exercise.

When you have a cold your energy is low, if you work out you will be using up your energy. If you are working out with weights then your body won't have enough protein to effectively enagage in muscle regrowth. Take rest else you will only be prolonging your cold.

I think it depends on the severity. I'm waking up with a bit of congestion and stuffiness right now, but am otherwise fine. I'm not going to let that bother my routine. But if it was worse than that, I'd take a break for a couple of days.

I make a point to keep up on the multi-vitamins and try not to short sleep!

it's really up to you (and your doctor, if you've seen him/her). In general, a workout probably wouldn't kill you if you have a head cold (though it might not be the most pleasant workout in the world). But, if you have upper-respiratory problems and/or a fever, you definitely want to take it easy. You might find this is a great time for something gentle
