The white one is a base. Hun, you can change it to African American or Native American or even Asian, it is not a big deal, look, i have changed mine to adjust the way how i look.

I'm an African American lady, I found various facial features for my avatar, eye shapes,lips,skintone, etc , I'm not sure why the avatars featured are always white and not ocassionally people of color, dont really care, either, but a good question!

May you should write the yahoo question and answer team and ask them that question? Maybe you have to sign up for something before they feature you. You should not always assume that it is because of race. With out saying it you said it. So please don't tell me you didn't mean it that way.

Because white is the base color of the avatar, when you get your avatar up then you can change the color. Like me it's brown and I'm mexican american

Well dummy your avatar is BROWN not white so what the hell are u talking about. I wonder...if I was in India and went to a Pakistani chat room would there be WHITE avatars for me to use??? Probably not. Would I whine about it? NO! i would realize I'm in Pakistan or wherever and that the majority of people are brown there so I wouldn't expect a WHITE avatar and I wouldn't cry about there not being one.
