There was a war in heaven Rev. 12:7 but no body died. or was hurt. Satan and his demons were cast down to the earth and the wicked angels with him. Rather than a bloody conflict it was a war of words. Christians are not Bush lovers.
1John 4:20 Jesus even said: ' continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persacuting you.
Matthew 5:44 If anyone makes the statement I love god and yet is hating his brother this man is a liar. You can't love god and hate people. The American South doesn't like Bush either.

Hi, I am Rational Spirituality.

Cruel people make cruel religion, to suit their cruel minds, to justify their cruel deeds, and to control the wimps that do not have the brain and the guts to stand up to them.

People create God in their own image, so violent people create violent gods.

I don't mean that literally - God Is. But people tend to attribute personality traits to god to justify their own faults. If God is cruel, sadistic and violent, then it stands to reason that it's ok for his followers to engage in that behavior. But if God is loving and forgiving, and above all, does no harm, how much harder is it to follow such a God?

People want salvation, but nobody wants it to be difficult to attain.

God is not cruel. He is, however, just.

You have nothing to fear if you follow the path of righteousness.
