Hi.
This is a good question.
It totally depends on your personal taste though.

I would say to get something that is positive or neutral, nothing that will remind you of things in the past or make you sad. Music you are not emotionally attached to as this will distract you from the workout and could make you feel bad.

Experiement with different kinds of music, what do you usually listen to? I would suggest some upbeat chart music. Even if you don't usually listen to it i'm sure you can find a compilation of songs that is quite good. Something that you could dance to.
Once you get on the treadmill try out different songs until you find ones you enjoy running.walking to. Some will make you go faster etc. Some will be just the right rhythm.

Kelly Clarkson, or Christina Aguelera, or Justin Timberlake, Brittany Spears, and many others. The best thing to do would be record or download an hour's worth of your favorite songs to an ipod and connect it to some speakers or your headphones. That way, you don't just get a compilation of someone else's favorites, you get your own favorites. And if you are doing all that excercise, don't forget to take your vitamins!
