I feel as if both men and women cheat when they are younger because they don't know exactly what they want. Many believe that the relationships that they have when they are younger aren't serious. I have cheated before and I was in high school. I never will regret it, but by doing so, I lost a great guy. People cheat for many reasons. Some are as dumb as just because they just wanted to and even more serious reasons to being scared of commitment. Cheating just depends on the person in which you are dealing with. The thing about male vs female cheating is that guys have a one or two time fling while a girl is usually in it for the long run. Analogy: Guy wants to go for a quick swim and come back out, girl want to go for a long relaxing swim and possibly move to the hot tub afterwards. If you aren't sure what I mean, a guy doesnt want to have commitment, just get a little intimate and whatever. Girls do it to feel secure, they stick around.

I don't think it depends on the gender. I think that if someone is unhappy in their relationship they will most likely cheat. That is more in the adult world of marriages though, I happen to know many people around my age(15/16) who have cheated on a drunken night and regretted it completely, I'm sure that's less likely to happen if you are married. But no I don't feel that it is a gender related thing.

Usually for someone to cheat there has to be someone with them... so I would say it is even. The thing is you have to consider this... If a single woman is involved with a man she knows is married then she too is a cheater, or vice versa. I do believe that women if they chose to cheat can hide it better because men are not usually as sharp and ladies don't have to worry about not being able to perform... you know?

I think women cheat more than men, especially when they are younger. Why? Based on US Census Bureau Data, in the United States, there are 96 men for every 100 women. This puts incredible pressure on women to find and keep men. Therefore, the biological pressure for women of child bearing age to have multiple partners OR to do whatever is necessary to get a partner is far greater. I think as women get older, they are less apt to cheat than men but when they do, they are FAR more discreet. Why? Because the ramifications of discovery are far greater for them, because there are less men to go around and the result of getting caught is being left alone.

What do you mean by cheating?...Cheating at cards, cheating at time, cheating at not being fair, cheating financially, cheating emotionally, cheating physically???...they are all the same...most folks who cheat have one main reason, the current relationship is not working and they are more into themselves rather than fix the problem. The cheater is so selfish that they prefer to let the other partner suffer as well as not being considerate enough to work it out. The lack of intelligent intellectual commitment is suffice to say the cheater is immature and selfish......male or female...if you are the cheater, do everyone a favor and move on...no matter the excuse.
