I left him cause he had no goals.. Basically he was lazy.. My friends think he is sweet and polite and generally a nice guy.. But they don't realize im not interested in being with a guy who has no goals or dreams.. So what is wrong with that??

Nothing baby girl I fell for the nice dude and cut the ambitious jerk off. Well the ambitious jerk matured into a nice guy with a six figure income. I married the nice guy and ending up divorcing and filing bankruptcy now I've got to start over at 43.
Don't waste your time - leave the nice guys for the pathetic nice girls with no ambition - they can live happily ever after on welfare.

OMG i cant believe you people, i guess personality and him being sweet and nice counts as nothing huh....i guess u prefer a cocky bad tempered guy who treats u like dirt but oh your fine wit that as long as hes rich and u can take advantage WOW, absolutley amazing im telling you. People everywhere else in the world wouldnt give up a nice guy for a glamorous superficial life. In some parts of the world they rather have little but be happy with who they're with, then to have everything and be with nobody or someone they dont like. Thats the difference between americans
and the rest of the world makes me sick where u people put your priorities and morals, makes me ashamed to even be american.
As long as he doesnt get in the way of YOUR dreams and goals, why should it bother if he has none, hes not your son your not his mother. Is that all having a man by your side means to u woman nowadays....just having financial support?? Good lord, if thats how u think you dont deserve to be happy or find a good man.

Did you try talking with him about it?I'm sure you probably did.Having no goals tells most people wanting to advance in their relationship,career and everday living that it takes 2 people in a relationship to support one - another whilst the other is obtaining their career and making for a better life.A lot (not all) young people today like to play house instead of really doing what it takes to make sure they have security for the future of their well being.

Nothing. Good for you. Who wants to be living paycheck to paycheck in 20 years. You have the right idea.
