You have to ask yourself... Does this person love me as much as I love them??? Probably not... If they did, Do you think they would continue to hurt you the way that they are doing... Would you do them like that??? My philosophy is... Hurt me once.. shame on you... Hurt me twice... shame on me... Hurt me three times... I gotta go...

You can forgive how ever many times that you want. I definately wouldn't make it an habit because they will take your kindness for your weakness, and will continue to hurt you JUST because they know that you'll forgive them no matter what they do.
Do you enjoy being hurt? If the answer is "yes", then keep on forgiving them no matter what they do. If the answer is "no", then forgive them and get the hell outta dodge! No one can feel the pain but you.

I know what you mean. I know this girl. She just do things without consideration for my feelings. They are so hurtful. But I forgive her everytime. It's getting harder and harder each time, though because I feel so hurt and sometimes I think I just about had it and enough is enough and feel like telling her off, but I'm in love with her so it's hard. If I tell her off, most likely it'll be over (though there is nothing there to begin with in the first place!) but we would not be friends anymore. I've done it before but it's hard with her since I really like her.

If you really love that person... really love them ...then forgive them as long as you see fit. Yes there are limits but you have to decide that...no one else can do it for you. There is not a certain number of times....you just kind of know when enough is enough. Until you reach that point you will continue to go thru what you are going thru...
I am going thru the same thing and have for a lonnnng time... but it is something that you have to decide on yourself within you.

It's entirely up to the individual how many times they are prepared to forgive.
If you make a mistake and are forgiven - hopefully you will learn something from that mistake....

First of all if you have to continue forgiving him for hurting you then you're not being forgiving you're being gullible. When to stop? As soon as you start, loving yourself, er' you'll know when enough is enough.

I think you stop forgiving them when you realize if something bad happens again, there will be no feelings left.

The first time you forgive, shame on him, the second time you forgive, shame on you.
