Sure. Make the breading of your choice. Dip in a milk bath first. If you have a deep fryer, great, if not put a couple inches of oil in a good thick skilled and heat (watch it carefully). Put shrimp in until golden. If you want in the bread crumb aisle at your grocery store they probably sell kits for making a batter if you prefer.
And if you don't want to fry it a really easy and yummy dinner is to saute it in some olive oil with seasonings of your choice, remember shrimp cooks fast. Add this too pasta and you can throw in veggies of your choice as you cook the shrimp also.

Soda crackers, egg, half inch of crisco at 375 degrees-cruch the soda crackers with a rolling pin until fine. Clean and peel the shrimp -Take about 2 eggs and whip them in a bowl and add the shrimp. Shake the excess batter off the shrimp and roll around in the cracker cumbs-almost there-yummy time- fry those babies in that hot oil till golden brown, flip over and fry some more. get out the cole slaw, french frys and enjoy-maybe a good ziffendale on the side.

This is my absolute favorite way to fry shrimp. Next time I would reccommend using tail on shrimp because it makes it much easier to fry them and eat them :)
Beer Battered Fried Shrimp
1 cup beer
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Oil, for frying
21 to 25 large shrimp, peeled with tails left on
Preheat a fryer or a deep pot halfway filled with oil to 350 degrees F.
In a bowl, combine the beer, flour, and salt, and allow to sit at room temperature for several hours. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and dip the shrimp in the batter and fry for approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Drain shrimp on paper towels.

It depends on what you want to do. Chicken batter is a bit much. Usually a tempura batter works better it is light. I dip my shrimp into Malibu rum. It has a coconut flavor and rum. Then I use a batter with coconut and a light tempura batter. They cook fast so be careful. You can get a ready mix tempura style batter at the market or yo can goo to food network.com and get a recipe.

Make a yeast batter like you would use for tempura. Dip in flour and shake, then dip in batter. Deep fry at 350 degrees for 3 minutes.

You can batter it like chicken if want; but you can fry them just like that. Shrimp taste good no matter what; just remember not to over cook them, once they are pink and begin to curl up, they are done! Good luck!
