I thought he was going to break up with me, but he says that it's a good thing to be such good friends in a relationship. It just seemed like he was implying something else.
We've been together for 2 years, and we often just hang out together. We always have fun, joking around, having a few beers, golfing, shooting pool. Even the action in the bedroom is fantastic, and we both agree on that.
Could this mean he is only interested in me as a friend, but is afraid to say that? We have lived together for almost a year, and are both in our late 20's.

No it sounds like he is happy with you.. he likes that you are not only his gf but his best friend.. thats really hard to find.. i am best friends with my husband and he tells me that all the time.. its a plus in a relationship..

No, they say you should be best friends first so he is just vocalizing the fact that you guys have it all. I dont think you have anything to worry about. Have a great time, you sound like you have a great relationship.

If you are friends first and then lovers, then you have a perfect match. If you are friends in a relationship it makes it MUCH easier to get through the rough patches. He paid you a bloody compliment, stop analysing and start enjoying!

ur bf talking about u and him being really good friends is not a bad thing at all. sometimes it's good to be friends w/ ur s/o. i personally think that that's the best relationship to have cuz u can tell that person anything. i think maybe ur just over reacting.

If you're that concerned that he may want to break up, swallow your fear and ask him. If you can't communicate about potentially uncomfortable things now, you probably won't last as a couple in the long run anyway.
