If a toddler is satisfactorily previous to appreciate the words interior the bible, he or she is satisfactorily previous to handle the recommendations therein. question Is Ezekiel 23 too image? Ezekiel 23:19-20 New international version (NIV) 19. yet she grew to become further and extra promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youthful human beings, while she replaced right into a prostitute in Egypt. 20. There she lusted after her fans, whose genitals have been like those of donkeys and whose emission replaced into like that of horses. it is not uncommon to verify on line grievance of the bible that a number of its content fabric ought to no longer be inspired via fact it comprise image descriptions of sexual perversion. quite it easily in basic terms paints, in metaphoric language, a considerably censored image of the idolatrous tendancies of the rustic on the time. Likening the rustic of Israel to a premiscuous youthful human beings, it does certainly point out the be conscious "genitals" and refers back to the seminal emissions of animals. on a similar time as the subject count of fornication or via fact the scripture placed it, out of control lust won't be acceptable for youthful toddlers, the two words "genitals" and "emissions" can often be present in any scientific magazine*. The accompanying similie can hardly be considered (yet for the main sheltered of readers) as stunning, via fact that absolutely everyone that ha worked or visted a farm might understand of the existence of the two. The verse is neither titilating nor openly image, it would not describe beastiality in any way and if it likens the international locations fans to beasts it replaced into easy givien the useful factors of the item of this metaphor. it form of feels to me the web "mock horror" of the similie is born greater of a desire to be severe than any authentic yet lost discust.

actually I was watching this weirdo catholic tv show, and they discussed this, their "answer" was explaining the issue of that if the person is in heaven that they need no prayer, and if they are in hell that no prayer would do any good, but if they are in purgatory it COULD help.

in Jewish belief theres "gahenna" which is definitely not a hell, as such, but its more like a purgatory type place, (but different) where prayers of the living DO help the person, even in Sheol, if the person is there, prayers could help them chose to move on properly.

but even if the prayers don't do any good for the person whos dead... why insist on that? even if it doesn't, it can help the person whos still alive, consoling them and such.

You cannot, because that is not a scriptural notion. We can, and indeed should, pray for one another. If someone has died, and their sins were forgiven, or their sins were not unto death, but have not paid their retribution for their sins, then we can pray for them (intercede for them) as they no longer have the ability to pray!

God Bless,

your asking to show why it -doesn't- help?
hmm ok.

Ecclesiastes 9:5.

will show him that the truth is that the dead aren't conscious of anything and theirs no sence in trying to communicate to them or praying for them, or to them.

and if your talking about praying to 'save their soul' it wouldn't matter either way, for Jesus Christ is the final judge of the wicked and righteous, depending on their own heart condition.
read these to him/her to show how Jesus is the one who will judge those, and will be the one to grant them life.
Acts 17:31; John 5:22, 30; Acts 10:42,

Depending on your situation those should work nicely, if you have any more concerns when speaking to him/her, or they have any questions your not sure how to answer, Feel free to I.M me.

Ecclesiastis 9:5 & 6 "For the living know that they will die but the dead do not know anything; neither have they any more reward for even their memories are forgotten..."

why do you think it won't do any good? The positive thoughts and intentions the child is sending to the loved one who passed away IS BEING RECEIVED BY THAT SOUL! Love knows no boundaries, and I'm sure you can find that in the Bible somewhere.
