What is the corect way of seasoning food

I think that the correct way is what ever tastes best to you. I myself, don't like salt, and use very little of it, and don't use pepper at all, but make up for it with other seasonings. It is all a matter of taste. If you like it then there is no right or wrong...

Since one of the area on your tongue is where the "salty" taste buds are, salt is more easily recognized by your mouth. Because of this, most people tend to season with salt first, then the pepper. But it really is entirely up to you.

depends on what food! neither one goes well on angelfood cake.
I think salt came first, 'cause dried salt is pretty common around bodies of salt water, and whenever humans started developing taste preferences, they probably realized 'uhhh... lake stuff taste good...'

pepper gets bitter if cooked and salt takes out moisture.So its better to do that right before serving.

use rock salt or sea salt first,then use black peppercorns in a pepper grinder for best results.
