You know that Homosexuality is an "Abomination" but "The lord your God hates Divorce" so which is more likely to anger your God?

Actually, God only sends you to hell when you commit three or more sins at the same time. For instance, if you are getting divorced from your gay spouse while eating shellfish, it's a sure-fire recipe for damnation. If you really want to go to hell, you have to stand out.

Even though the Bible makes it clear that God disapproves of both, there are certain allowances that are made for divorce, yet not for the homosexual lifestyle. Ideally, God would want those who are in the marriage covenant to stay together, but since this is a covenant of two people, where one may decide to obey God's will, the other may not, and God is just, and will deal with the one who had not decided to leave the covenant fairly.

Homosexuality is a personal choice of a lifestyle. Yes, I know it takes two to practice it, but each individual voluntarily chose to be a part of the relationship. Nowhere in the Bible is it ever approved of, and the liberals who say that the reason God bombarded Sodom and Gomorrah with fire is because they refused to show hospitality go through advanced gymnastics of the text to come to such an exergisis. Read the text carefully! The men wanted Lot to send those guests out so they could "know" them!

I am a professing Evangelical Christian. One thing that turns me off in my circles is when people like to single out one group's lifestyle and hammer on it, to make them feel more self-righteous, and also to not deal with the areas where they fall short! I will go on record as saying that Homosexuality cannot be reconciled to true Biblical Christianity, and is sin, period! I will also say that though divorce is sin most of the times, Scripture does mention times when it is acceptable. Both grieve the heart of God! I would not want to play God and say which one angers him more then the other.

Getting divorced from a gay marriage.

But really, all sins are the same when it comes to stuff like that, people should be avoiding doing both of those things, for they ain't hat god wants in the marriage arrangement. he wants a man and a woman to be happy and stay together in love and unity
Getting divorced without the right reasones (being adultery) is a sin and homosexuality is a sin. all sins are just as bad theirs no reason to say which is worse..

Yes God hates and unfounded reason for divorce. The only scriptural grounds for divorce is adultery. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because all the people from boy to man were homosexual. Also the Bible states 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Aren't you people reading your Bible's?

The Lord our God hates divorce because of the pain it causes His children...and there are Biblical reasons for divorce.

No parent wants to see their child in pain.

P.S. Sin is sin...all sin is an abomination to the living God.

All sin is abomination, murder, drug abuse, stealing, lying. Why do we always single out sexual sins? In the same scripture where it talks about homosexuality it also mentions the other sins mentioned above, so sin is sin, and God hates it all. He does not hate people, God is love, He only hates sin, that's why he gives people the opportunity to repent. Every body sins, if you confess your sins and repent, you will be forgiven. End of story!

Hmmm... I'm sure these are not the only things that are spoken againts in the bible. I mean, would you rather be a divorcee or an idol worshiper? Os that not also an abomination? I think the writers of the sciptures felt that overall these are all "abominations" although I disagree.

God hates all sin. But to answer your question, they are equal. God says in His word "Don't practice homosexuality" and if you do, you are being disobedient. God also says "Don't get divorced" and if you do, you are being disobedient. Each sin is as bad as the next one because they all boil down to being disobedient to God. By the way, the only allowed reason for divorce is fornication, not adultery. Fornication is sex before you are married. God says if you get married and find out that your new spouse is impure due to fornication, you may divorce them. If you decide to stay married to them, there is NO OTHER allowable reason for divorce.
