A hickey is from someonelike your bf sucking on your neck or other body parts it is where the sucking has caused the blood to come to the surface of your skin. It can hurt depending on how hard the other person is sucking. If they know what they are doing then it doesn't usually cause any pain. Now the other issue of it........Men usually only want to put a hickey on you for one reason and that is to show ownership of property ....There is no sexual gratification from receiving a hickey so it is just a status issue. Receiving a hickey in this day and age can also make you look cheap and easy, and give you a bad reputation with the boys. It isn't like it use to be in the old days where everyone thought they were cool. That went out along time ago.
And depending on how old you are they can get you into trouble with your parents

A hickey is a slight bruise.
Usually bite/suck/kiss for a while on the same spot to give/get a hickey (necks are most common)

Your funny, no you get a hickey from someone sucking on your neck, they suck so hard that the bloodvessels rise to the top of your skin and break and that makes the redness!!!

When someone sucks on your skin they give you a hickey. It breaks blood vessels or whatever and gives you a bruise.

it is when you are kissing a lot, and your boyfriend kisses your neck and sucks a little bit extra, and causes a bruise to occur.
That is called a hickey.
Anyone that has had one can spot it a mile away, and usually
it suggests more has happened than just kissing.
