There will be no peace until Jesus Christ returns and rules and subjugates all authority to Himself. This crisis is a work of God to demonstrate that He is God and we are nothing in comparison; failures needing a Saviour.

The problem about the land is that it was granted to Abraham by God in a covenant. This was a Royal Land Grant, and was deeded to him and his descendants. (Genesis 15)

Anyone who tries to divide the land will invoke a curse upon themselves. As it is written: "I will gather all the nations, and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land." (Joel 3:2)

During Israel's modern history, they have given up land for peace. What has it gotten them? More violence. The "Palestinians" (who are really Arabs) discovered that violence gets them more land. Why should they stop?

God has said this: "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a Cup of Trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem." (Zechariah 12:2)

So, until Christ returns, and sets up His kingdom, there will always be turmoil in the region.

My solution is simple. Tell everybody to get out of Jerusalem, NOW.
Plant a gigantic nuclear device under the temple/dome of the rock location and with one big muffled boomph, all gone. No religious site, no arguments. Compensate all the palestinians for any loss incurred since the emergence of the state of israel. Let the remaining fundies on both sides battle it out in a silly meaningless jihad. Peace within months.

This middle east conflict has been going on for hundreds of years and it is not going to just go away. There is no compromise or forgiving and forgetting, it is prophesied in the good book that the battle of Armageddon, WW III will take place in the middle east.

You have excellent ideas, and sound concepts, to you and I but to the waring factions in the middle east, it is totally out of the question.

The Israeli's do not want peace its as simple as that, if they did they would not be moving more and more settlers into the West Bank, this man has said nothing that we didn't know already, Leiberman is typical of a lot in the new Israeli government, they just want to grind the Palestinians into the ground and make life as miserable as possible, the Israeli's want to take over both the West Bank and Gaza and make them part of the state of Israel.

Peace will not happen in Middle East, too long of history dating back, involving traditions and religious beliefs, all of which believe in the big Conflict of the End.

The Bible tells us that the only hope for peace in the world will be Jesus' Second Coming to usher in one thousand years of peace in the world.

If you are looking for another source, the UN is sure not the answer.

There is no solution, There should just be an all-out war between the Christians and the muslims, with no nukes allowed, to see who wins. I pull for the Christians!

There is no hope for real peace until the Prince of Peace comes. They will look upon Him, the One whom they pierced and mourn.
