Your question's not stupid, regardless of what some of the people on here say. I don't believe that our men and women should be there, at this point, ESPECIALLY now that Saddam is out of the picture. If they're "looking" for Osama, they're in the wrong geographical area.

... So, what ARE we doing over there? No matter how long we are there, there are always going to be terrorists. They believe that when they perform an act of terrorism, they will die with honor! You can't stop a millinium old tradition by staying in a place where you are not only not welcome, but by trying to save the world.

If we're fighting against terrorism, then our troops should be back here in the U.S., and we should be more concerned about Homeland security than trying to secure Iraq.

Since Bush will be in office for two more years, I am guess about 2000 more soldiers will be killed. I think we should make Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove go over and fight right along side the marines.

Maybe if the Democrats take over power this Nov. 7th things will get a little better. I hope some of the republicans are fed up will all the lies Bush and his cronies have been telling the American citizens.

Ok, lets look at it this way. From time of invasion to now 2600+ US KIA 43,000+ Killed on US Highways 18,000+ Murdered and abused children and women in the US 1,000's of murders, rapists and child abusers let go with the help of the all mighty ACLU only to have to be chased down and caught again for doing the same thing. Values many americans were raised with Stripped away by courts and the ACLU. Why don't you direct your energy to these problems that affect your EVERYDAY life. And, it doesn't matter if you are GOP, DEM, or whatever.

too many

and to the person who said that people who join the army want to go to iraq and die is not true a lot of people would rather be going to college drinking beer and sleeping with eachother but they cant afford it so they go into the army because going to iraq is better then being on the streets or liveing with parents or liveing with people who beat the shi.t out of you everyday

your mind set on that is way to simplistic its like saying all homeless people are lazy and dont want to work.. which is untrue

I volunteered almost a year before 9/11 happen. I'm still in uniform. Been deployed 3x. Instead of yapping you come here and fix it. The service member enlisted fully aware of going to battle, its in the contract and your even asked twice to swear in, just in case you want to back out. How is this the President's fault? We continue to fight regardless of how many conscientious objector are still out there. Its called selfless service.

Shhhhhh.

It was the WMD, Environmentalists and Liberal Muslims who sent our boys over there to die.

So what that George has caused the death of more Americans that Osama? He doesn't care. He has no feeling or respect for our troops.

There is no war on terrorism that could ever succeed when so very many innocents are being killed.

What ever the number is, it's far too many. Bush is a war criminal and should be held accountable for his actions.

The death number in this war is very low compared to all the other wars. And they're doing it so you don't get your head blown off by an Iraqui nuke. You should be thanking every one of them. I say thank you to every soldier that's returned safely here.
