Have been before and have done the cheap stuff, but would like to better my pallet, also is there such a thing as a good quality sweet wine?

I know you have been recommended Eastenders, but we think its a rip off they put the money in £'s and then ask for Euros at a crap exchange rate. Once you come off the ferry you will see directions to loads of different supermarkets, we like Auchun best. Carrefour is your nearest from the ferry terminal, this is good as well

Eastenders on th N1 just outside calais you can also buy by the pallet, Bergerac about £3-4 per bottle, English owned.

Eastenders is a good place for beer and cheap wine but I would also try the Mammoth hypermarket wines and spirits I believe Sainsburys is close by

I always go to Tesco at Cite Europe. Have a mooch about in your local Tescos before you go and make a note of any sweet wines you like the sound of, then you can see if they are avaialable at Cite Europe. I'm pretty sure you can access the Cite Europe Tesco stock and price list at www. tesco.com.

advise you purchase your booze on the french supermarkets, you will get far greater on your money than at places like citi-europe or those wine supermarkets in simple terms out of calais, french supermarkets carry a extensive variety of beers wines and spirits.

whenever i go I always end up going to the same place. A huge warehouse called eastenders. Huge selection of cheap but great wine.

Cant help with sweet white can't stand the stuff even with pudding [or sweet if you are posh.]
