Why is plastic surgery called plastic surgery? Where does the plastic come into it?

Probably because one of the first forms of plastic surgery for beauty purposes would have been a boob job and they'd be refering to the implants?

It is called plastic surgery because the word 'plastikos' in Greek means 'to shape or to mould'. It has nothing to do with the material, plastic. HTH : )

because if u have 2 mutch of plastic surgery u look like plastic because your face doesnt have any expression i learnt from my own mistakes please dont have any !!!
